Overview
The Embassy of Argentina in Beijing manages a bilateral relationship of growing strategic importance. China is Argentina's second-largest trading partner and a major investor — agricultural exports (soy, beef, wine, citrus), lithium extraction, energy infrastructure and railway projects drive the economic relationship. Ambassador Marcelo Gabriel Suárez Salvia heads the mission. Argentina maintains an extensive diplomatic network in China with a consular section in Beijing, a Consulate General and Promotion Centre in Shanghai, and consulates in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
