Neues Museum
Berlin
On Berlin's Museumsinsel (UNESCO World Heritage), the Neues Museum holds the bust of Nefertiti, the headline work of the Egyptian Museum and the Papyrus Collection, alongside the Museum of Pre- and Early History. Friedrich August Stüler's 1855 building was rebuilt by David Chipperfield from war ruins and reopened in 2009 — the architecture itself is part of the visit. Visitor entry runs through the James-Simon-Galerie on Bodestraße.
