Overview
The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the United Nations in New York represents Guinea-Bissau at the UN General Assembly, Security Council deliberations, and across UN agencies. Guinea-Bissau, a small West African state and ECOWAS member, engages at the UN particularly on peacebuilding, governance, and sustainable development — the country has been on the agenda of the UN Peacebuilding Commission. The mission also facilitates coordination with international partners on food security, climate adaptation for Guinea-Bissau's vulnerable coastline, and biodiversity conservation in the Bijagós Archipelago, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.Read moreRead less
