Overview
The Honorary Consulate of Indonesia in Linz provides local consular assistance for Indonesian citizens in Upper Austria and Salzburg. The Honorary Consul is Dr. Johannes Neuhofer, in post since 2015. The consulate can authenticate documents and provide initial guidance, but refers passport, visa, and complex consular matters to the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna. Linz, as the capital of Upper Austria and a significant industrial centre, has a small but established Indonesian community connected to the region's manufacturing and technology sectors.
