Overview

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Frankfurt am Main serves Thai nationals and visa applicants in central-western Germany. Frankfurt, as Germany's financial capital and largest international airport hub, is a key gateway for Thai-German travel and trade. Frankfurt Airport offers direct flights to Bangkok via Thai Airways and Lufthansa. The consulate provides the full range of consular services and also conducts mobile consular visits to cities across its jurisdiction, bringing passport and notarial services closer to Thai communities in the region.

The Frankfurt consulate's visa jurisdiction covers Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Thuringia. Processing takes up to 15 working days. Visa fees are non-refundable.

Consular Services

The consulate provides visa processing, document legalisation and certification, Thai birth/death/marriage certificates, family registration, electronic passports (E-Pass), ID card extensions, and adoption assistance. Mobile consular services are offered periodically in various cities across the jurisdiction.

The consulate coordinates Thai cultural events, provides information about Thai temples in Germany, and administers scholarship and training programmes for Thai nationals in the region. A trade coordination officer supports Thai-German business relations.
