The Royal Thai Embassy in Santiago (Embajada Real de Tailandia) is Thailand's diplomatic mission to Chile, located on the 15th floor of a tower in the Las Condes business district. The embassy also covers Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador. The embassy provides E-Visa processing, document legalisation, consular services, travel vaccination guidance, and medication travel advice for visitors to Thailand.

Visa Services

All visa applications must be submitted online via thaievisa.go.th. TDAC mandatory since May 2025. Visa on arrival also available for eligible nationalities at Thai immigration checkpoints. Consular/visa email: consular@thaiembassy.cl.

Consular Services

Thai nationals in Chile — and in Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador — use the embassy for passports, civil registration, document legalisation, and consular assistance. The consular window runs mornings only, 09:00-12:45; consular and visa matters go to consular@thaiembassy.cl, everything else to info@thaiembassy.cl.

The chancery sits on the 15th floor of Avenida Américo Vespucio Sur 100 in Las Condes, Santiago's business district, near the Escuela Militar metro hub. Special Notes

Chilean ordinary passports enter Thailand visa-free for 90 days under a bilateral agreement — the same arrangement Argentina, Brazil, and Peru hold, a month longer than the standard 60-day exemption. Tourism only; work and study run through the e-Visa system. Residents of Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador handle their Thai affairs through Santiago — Thailand keeps no resident mission in San José, Panama City, or San Salvador.
Frequently asked questions

90 days with an ordinary passport, under a bilateral agreement — a month longer than the standard exemption. It covers tourism; the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) still must be registered online within three days before arrival, and work, study, or retirement need an e-Visa regardless.

Chile, plus Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador by accreditation — Thailand has no resident mission in any of the three. Their residents apply through the online e-Visa system naming their country of residence; Santiago processes the applications.
