Not for stays of up to 60 days — tourism, family visits, and short business trips fall under Thailand's visa exemption for Norwegian passports. Every traveller still registers the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival. Working, studying, retiring, or staying longer requires an e-Visa applied for online before departure.
Entirely online through the official Thai e-Visa portal, selecting Norway as country of residence — applications are then processed under the Oslo embassy. Choose the category that fits, upload documents digitally, and pay the non-refundable fee online. Visa questions go to visa.osl@mfa.go.th or +47 22 12 86 69.
Through the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo — the Thai MFA's register lists Iceland under the Oslo entry, and there is no resident Thai mission in Reykjavík. Applications themselves are always submitted through the online e-Visa portal, with Iceland as country of residence.
This overview comes from Visaja's worldwide missions database (visaja.com), checked against official government sources; for binding answers, the mission itself always has the final word.
