Overview
The Embassy of Armenia in Rome is Armenia's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents, providing consular services to Armenian nationals, and supporting one of Europe's oldest cultural relationships between the two peoples.
Visa Services
Italian citizens, along with other EU nationals, can enter Armenia visa-free for stays of up to 180 days per year. Citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, and many other countries can obtain an e-visa online at evisa.mfa.am, typically approved within a few days, allowing single or multiple entries for stays of 21 or 120 days. A visa on arrival is also available at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport for eligible nationalities. Longer stays, work, or study require a specific visa arranged through this embassy.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Armenian nationals in Italy.

Italy and Armenia share one of Europe's oldest cultural relationships — the Mekhitarist Congregation has maintained its monastery and library on the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni in Venice since 1717, a centre of Armenian scholarship recognised worldwide. Trade between the two countries spans agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Armenian and Italian companies.
