Visa Services
Most foreign nationals, including Italians, need a visa to enter Burkina Faso, with the exception of ECOWAS citizens who enter visa-free for up to 90 days under the regional free-movement protocol. Visas are obtained in advance through this embassy. Standard requirements are a passport valid at least 6 months beyond travel dates with free pages, completed application forms, passport photos, a yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory and checked on arrival), proof of accommodation (hotel booking or letter of invitation), itinerary, return ticket, and fee. Some applications require a letter of invitation from a host or Burkinabé company.
