Overview
The Embassy of Cameroon in Rome is Cameroon's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Cameroonian nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Most foreign nationals, including Italians, need a visa to enter Cameroon. The main exceptions are citizens of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) under regional free movement. Visa on arrival is generally not available for tourists; applications are submitted in advance at this embassy. Requirements include a completed application form, a passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages, passport photos, a yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory and checked on entry), travel itinerary, proof of accommodation (hotel booking or letter of invitation), proof of financial means, and fee payment. Processing generally takes 5-10 working days. An e-visa platform has operated since 2023 — applicants should confirm current procedures with this embassy.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Cameroonian nationals in Italy.

The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Cameroonian and Italian companies.
