Visa Services

Citizens of 89 countries can visit El Salvador visa-free for up to 180 days, including the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, Australia, and many others. Requirements: a passport valid for at least 6 months. Travellers arriving by air or sea must purchase a tourist card on arrival for US$12 (cash). Land border arrivals do not require the card. Holders of a valid US, Canadian, or Schengen visa can also enter visa-free. El Salvador is part of the CA-4 agreement with Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, allowing free movement between these four countries for 90 days on a single tourist card.

Consular Services

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Salvadoran nationals in Italy.
