Embassy of India in Dublin

Apply for your eVisa

Overview

The Embassy of India in Dublin is Ireland's single Indian diplomatic mission, covering the whole island from 69 Merrion Road in Ballsbridge after its move from the former Leeson Park premises. It handles visa work that falls outside the e-Visa scheme, OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cards, passport and document services, and consular assistance for the Indian-origin community in Ireland. Most Irish tourists travel to India on the online e-Visa and never need to visit in person; the embassy is the route for the categories the e-Visa does not cover and for the casework that needs an in-person presence.

Visa Services

Irish passport holders apply online for the e-Visa for most short visits to India. The embassy processes the consular and sticker-visa categories outside the e-Visa scheme — including off-list passports and certain long-stay and employment routes — along with OCI cards, passport services and document attestation for Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin resident in Ireland.

Service Area

The Republic of Ireland. There is no separate Indian consulate elsewhere on the island; for cases that need an in-person visit, the Dublin embassy is the contact point, with the High Commission of India in London handling certain emergencies.
