Overview
The Embassy of Israel in Rome is Israel's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Israeli nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Israel allows visa-free entry to Italian citizens and all EU nationals for tourist stays of up to 90 days. Israel does not stamp passports: on arrival, a separate entry slip is issued, which must be kept for the whole stay and returned on departure. Security checks at Ben Gurion Airport are strict and include detailed questioning about travel plans. Citizens of some Arab-majority countries face restrictions or entry bans. Extensions beyond 90 days require an application to the Israeli authorities.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Israeli nationals in Italy.
Trade & Export Support
The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Israeli and Italian companies.
Service Area
Italy.
Appointment Information
Consular appointments are booked through the embassy's official channels.
Special Notes
Israel's Independence Day is April 29.
