Visa Services
Ivory Coast operates one of West Africa's most streamlined visa systems. Citizens of ECOWAS member states enter visa-free for up to 90 days. Most other foreign nationals, including Italians, need an e-visa applied for in advance on the official portal snedai.com: typical processing takes 3-5 working days, standard cost is around €73, and requirements include a passport scan, passport photo, yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory and checked on entry), accommodation confirmation, return ticket, and online card payment. Visa on arrival is available at Abidjan's Félix-Houphouët-Boigny Airport for some nationalities, but the e-visa is strongly recommended — with incomplete documentation, immigration can hold the passport until the following day. Traditional embassy visas remain available. Stays beyond the initial visa's duration require a residence permit (titre de séjour) issued by the Office d'Identification Nationale (OIDN).
