Overview
The Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Rome represents Mozambican interests in Italy, where a Mozambican diaspora and growing bilateral ties support development cooperation, trade and cultural exchange. Visa Services
The official Mozambique eVisa and eTA portal lists all Italian passport types as eligible for an eTA for tourism or business stays of up to 30 days. Travellers who need a longer stay or another category may be eligible for an eVisa and should select the correct purpose on the official portal. Apply before travel, use the same passport throughout, and carry the downloaded approval for boarding and arrival; ask the embassy about cases the portal directs to consular processing.

Special Notes
Mozambique launched a replacement official eVisa/eTA platform on 11 February 2026 and discontinued the previous system. Use only the current government portal, verify that passport data match exactly and carry the approval; an eTA covers only its stated short tourism or business conditions and does not authorise employment.
