Nigerian Embassy in Vienna

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Vienna is Nigeria's diplomatic mission in Austria. It represents Nigerian interests to Austrian authorities and international organisations based in Vienna, processes visa applications for Austrian residents travelling to Nigeria, and supports the Nigerian community living in Austria.

Austrian citizens and other residents of Austria travelling to Nigeria require a visa, applied for through the embassy or Nigeria's online visa portal. Standard requirements include a valid passport with at least six months' validity, a completed application form, a passport photograph, proof of accommodation, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, and proof of onward or return travel. Business travellers typically need an invitation letter from a Nigerian host organisation. Applicants should confirm current processing times and fees directly with the embassy, as visa policy is periodically updated.

The embassy provides passport applications and renewals, emergency travel documents, civil-registration services and notarial support for Nigerian nationals in Austria, along with assistance in cases of emergency or difficulty.

Nigeria and Austria maintain a developing trade relationship, with Austrian exports to Nigeria concentrated in machinery, engineering equipment and pharmaceuticals, and Nigerian exports to Austria including agricultural products.
