Overview
The Embassy of North Macedonia in Rome is North Macedonia's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Macedonian nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
North Macedonia grants visa-free entry to Italian citizens, the whole EU and Schengen area, Switzerland, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and many other countries for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, for tourism or business. The passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond the planned exit date. The country is an EU candidate and a NATO member since 2020, and its visa policy is aligned with the Schengen standard. Visa-required nationalities apply at a North Macedonian mission or, where none exists, at a partner EU mission.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Macedonian nationals in Italy.

The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Macedonian and Italian companies.
