No — Norway applies Schengen rules, so Italian citizens enter on a national ID card with no visa, for tourism and work alike under the free-movement framework. Application questions only arise for non-EU residents of Italy, via the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration's routes.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:30 to 13:00 — and never on Wednesdays, when consular phone service skips the day. The general switchboard +39 06 45 23 81 00 runs longer hours; written enquiries go to emb.rome@mfa.no.
Every visit runs on a booked appointment — there is no walk-in counter at Via delle Terme Deciane 7. Book through the embassy's channels and use emb.rome@mfa.no for the paperwork questions ahead of the visit.
