Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Rome

Embassy of Oman in Rome, Italy

Overview

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Rome is Oman's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Omani nationals in Italy.

Visa Services

Oman operates an e-visa system through the Royal Oman Police portal at evisa.rop.gov.om, open to citizens of around 70 eligible countries. Most travellers — including Italy and the rest of the EU, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and much of Latin America — apply for the e-visa online before departure: a single-entry 30-day tourist e-visa costs 20 OMR (around 52 USD), a multiple-entry 30-day version 50 OMR, and an annual multiple-entry e-visa is also available. Processing takes 1-3 working days; the approval should be printed and presented on arrival. Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council states enter visa-free with an ID card or passport for up to 14 days. A passport valid at least 6 months from entry, a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and travel medical insurance covering the whole stay are mandatory.

Consular Services

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Omani nationals in Italy.

Trade & Export Support

The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Omani and Italian companies.
