Overview
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Vienna is Pakistan's diplomatic mission in Austria. It processes visa applications for Austrian residents travelling to Pakistan, provides consular services to the Pakistani community in Austria, and represents Pakistan's interests to Austrian authorities and the international organisations headquartered in Vienna.
Visa Services
Austrian citizens can apply online for a Pakistan e-Visa or an electronic Visa-on-Arrival through the NADRA portal at visa.nadra.gov.pk rather than through the embassy directly — the standard tourist e-Visa is single-entry for up to 90 days and is usually issued within four to seven working days. Applicants who need a different visa category, or who prefer to apply in person, can file at the embassy with a passport valid at least six months beyond the planned stay, a completed application form, photographs, an invitation letter or hotel reservation, proof of funds and a return ticket.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport applications and renewals, civil-registration and attestation services, and emergency assistance for Pakistani nationals resident in or travelling through Austria.
Trade & Export Support
Pakistan and Austria maintain an active trade relationship, with Austrian exports to Pakistan concentrated in machinery, engineering equipment and pharmaceuticals, and Pakistani exports to Austria including textiles and leather goods. The embassy supports trade delegations and business introductions between the two countries.
