Overview

The Embassy of Panama in Rome is Panama's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Panamanian nationals in Italy.

Visa Services

Panama is one of Latin America's easiest countries to enter. Citizens of around 90 countries — including Italy, Switzerland, the rest of the EU, the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and much of South America — enter visa-free for tourist stays of 90 to 180 days depending on nationality (Italian and most Western passports typically receive 180 days). A passport valid at least 3 months beyond the planned exit date (6 months recommended), a return or onward ticket, and proof of funds of around 500 USD may be requested at immigration. Travellers from visa-required countries apply for a Visa Estampada at the relevant Panamanian consulate.
