Overview
The Embassy of Paraguay in Rome is Paraguay's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Paraguayan nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Paraguay grants visa-free entry to citizens of around 80 countries — Italy, the rest of the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and most South American countries — for tourist and business stays of up to 90 days within any 365-day period. The entry stamp is issued at Asunción's Silvio Pettirossi International Airport or at recognised land crossings with Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from entry. The 90-day stay can be extended by a further 90 days at the Dirección General de Migraciones in Asunción for a fee of around 100 USD.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Paraguayan nationals in Italy.
Trade & Export Support
The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Paraguayan and Italian companies.
