Embassy of the Philippines in Rome

Embassy of Philippines in Rome, Italy

Overview

The Embassy of the Philippines in Rome is the Philippines' diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to the sizeable Filipino community in Italy.

Visa Services

The Philippines offers visa-free entry to citizens of 157 countries for 30 days, including Italy, the EU, the UK, the US, Australia, Japan, and ASEAN. No advance application is needed — an entry stamp is issued on arrival. CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: a return or onward ticket is strictly checked — immigration will deny entry and airlines will deny boarding without proof of onward travel. Passport valid 6 months. 29-day extensions (total 59 days) are available through the Bureau of Immigration (around 60-70 USD). The eTravel form must be completed online before arrival. Travel advisories recommend increased caution for terrorism risk in parts of Mindanao and the Sulu Archipelago — the tourist areas of Luzon and the Visayas are safe with normal precautions.

Consular Services

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Filipino nationals in Italy.

Trade & Export Support

Italy is home to one of Europe's largest Filipino communities, and the embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Philippine and Italian companies.
