Overview
The Embassy of the Republic of the Congo in Rome is the Republic of the Congo's resident diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Congolese nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
The Republic of the Congo operates a strictly consular visa system — there is no visa on arrival at any airport or land crossing. Italian residents apply in advance at this embassy. Standard documentation includes a passport valid at least six months beyond the planned departure date with at least one blank page, a completed application form, a recent passport photo, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation (hotel booking or an authenticated letter of invitation with the host's identity and residence documents), proof of sufficient financial means (recent bank statement), consular fees, and — without exception — a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate issued at least ten days before travel. Some applications also require proof of polio vaccination. Processing typically takes one to two weeks; applying four to six weeks in advance is recommended, and fees and payment methods should be confirmed directly with the embassy.

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Congolese nationals in Italy.
