Overview

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Bangkok is the Kingdom's diplomatic mission to Thailand, processing visa applications for Thai residents, providing consular services to Saudi nationals, and supporting a growing trade relationship between the two countries.

Visa Services

Thai residents applying to visit Saudi Arabia for tourism, business, or family visits should note that most eligible nationalities can now obtain an eVisa online rather than applying in person at the embassy — this also extends to holders of a valid Schengen, UK or US visa and to permanent residents of the US, EU or UK, with a visa on arrival available to the same travellers. Umrah can be performed year-round on the tourism e-visa, with the Umrah permit applied for online; Hajj needs a separate permit and only takes place in the Hajj season. Purpose-specific or long-term visas that require embassy processing are handled through the consular section, with requirements typically including a valid passport, passport photo, and purpose-specific supporting documents.

Consular Services

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Saudi nationals in Thailand.

Trade & Export Support

Thailand and Saudi Arabia maintain a growing trade relationship — Thailand's large halal-certified food industry, along with its rice and seafood exports, has found expanding demand in the Kingdom, alongside rising Saudi tourist arrivals in Thailand. The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Thai and Saudi companies.

Appointment Information

Consular appointments are booked through the embassy's official channels; a secondary contact line is available at +66 2 639 2960, with separate email addresses for citizen services (ctz.themb@mofa.gov.sa) and the consular section (Con.themb@mofa.gov.sa). Visa applications for most nationalities are processed via the Saudi eVisa portal rather than in-person embassy visits.
