Umrah can be performed year-round on the tourism e-visa, with the Umrah permit applied for online; Hajj needs a separate permit and only takes place in the Hajj season. Purpose-specific or long-term visas that require embassy processing are handled through the consular section, with requirements typically including a valid passport, passport photo, and purpose-specific supporting documents.

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Saudi nationals in Russia.
