Overview
The Embassy of Senegal in Rome is Senegal's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Senegalese nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Senegal is one of West Africa's easiest countries to enter. Italian, EU, Swiss, UK, Canadian, US, Australian, New Zealand, Japanese, and many other citizens enter visa-free for stays of up to 90 days. ECOWAS citizens enter visa-free for 90 days with an ID card or passport under the regional free-movement protocol. Other nationalities need an e-visa through the official government portal at evisa.gouv.sn (90 days single entry, around 50 USD, usually processed in 5-7 working days) or, where consular missions exist, at a Senegalese embassy or consulate. A passport valid at least 6 months from entry, a return or onward ticket, and proof of accommodation are required. A strict health requirement: a yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all incoming travellers, administered at least ten days before arrival.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Senegalese nationals in Italy.
