Embassy of Tanzania in Rome, Italy

Overview

The Embassy of Tanzania in Rome is Tanzania's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Tanzanian nationals in Italy.

Visa Services

Tanzania requires a visa for most international visitors. The e-visa (100 USD, one year, multiple entry) is applied for online before travel — once approved, an email notification is issued to present on arrival. Visa on arrival is available at Julius Nyerere (Dar es Salaam), Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar airports, but single entry only. A passport valid for at least 6 months with one blank page is required, and only passports with an M or F gender marker are accepted. A return ticket and proof of funds are required. A yellow fever certificate is mandatory from endemic countries. Zanzibar requires mandatory Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) coverage for stays of up to 92 days — other policies are not accepted.
