Not for stays up to 60 days — the exemption covers French and Monégasque passports for tourism and short business visits. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is mandatory for everyone, registered free online within three days before arrival. Longer stays run through the online e-Visa portal thaievisa.go.th, with applications filled in English only.
Three to four weeks from submission, longer around Christmas and the summer holidays — so apply well before booking anything non-refundable; the embassy explicitly assumes no responsibility if a visa arrives after the planned departure date. Non-French, non-Monégasque, and non-Algerian applicants must always include proof of residence.
France, Monaco, Wallis and Futuna, and the French overseas collectivities — plus certain visa categories for residents of Algeria. Applications from all of them run through the same online e-Visa system with Paris processing.
