Overview
The Embassy of Tunisia in Rome is Tunisia's diplomatic mission to Italy and San Marino, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Tunisian nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Tunisia runs a relatively open visa system. Citizens of all EU/EEA states, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and many others enter visa-free for tourism and short business trips of up to 90 days, with no advance application — the entry stamp is issued on arrival at Tunis-Carthage, Enfidha-Hammamet, Djerba-Zarzis, Sfax, or Monastir international airports, or at a land crossing with Algeria. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival, with at least one blank page for the stamp. Travellers should make sure the entry stamp is actually applied — overstaying without a stamp results in a fine at departure. Visa-required travellers apply at the Tunisian embassy or consulate for their place of residence — Rome for Italy and San Marino, Bern for Switzerland, Vienna for Austria.
