The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Rome represents Turkey in Italy and the Holy See. Italy and Turkey maintain significant bilateral relations in trade, defence, energy, and tourism. Visa Services
Italian ordinary and official passport holders are visa-exempt for visits to Türkiye of up to 90 days within the applicable 180-day limit, and Italian citizens are among those permitted to enter with a national identity card. Work, study, family reunification, and residence require the appropriate authorization before travel; other nationals should check the rules for their own citizenship and purpose of stay.
Consular Services
The embassy manages diplomatic and governmental relations and assists Turkish citizens in its consular district with passports, civil registration, citizenship, notarial matters, and emergencies. The required documents and personal-appearance rules depend on the service requested.

The embassy supports Turkish-Italian economic relations in manufacturing, machinery, automotive supply, energy, defence, food, logistics, tourism, and investment, and helps connect public institutions and business networks in both countries.

The embassy covers central and southern Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Lazio, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Umbria). Northern Italy is served by the Consulate General in Milan.

Special Notes
The embassy also represents Türkiye to the Holy See. Republic Day is observed on 29 October, and visa-free visitor status does not authorize employment or residence in Türkiye.
