The Uruguayan Embassy in Vienna represents Uruguay in Austria and is also accredited to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Visa Services
Austrian and other EU citizens may enter Uruguay visa-free for qualifying visits of up to 90 days under the current rules. Other residents in the embassy's district should check requirements by nationality, passport type and purpose; those needing a visa apply before travel with a valid passport, application, itinerary, accommodation and evidence of funds. Work, study and residence follow separate migration procedures.
Consular Services
The embassy assists Uruguayan citizens with passports and emergency travel documents, civil-status records, certificates, powers of attorney and urgent welfare cases. It can also guide applicants on Uruguayan document legalisation and the formalities affecting minors travelling with one parent or alone.

Uruguay's Independence Day is 25 August. Visa-free visitor status and residence authorisation are separate processes.
