The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Rome is Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission to Italy, processing visa applications for Italian residents and providing consular services to Uzbek nationals in Italy.
Visa Services
Uzbekistan runs one of the most open visa regimes in Central Asia, with three parallel channels: visa-free entry, e-visa, and traditional embassy visas for the few nationalities not covered by the first two. Visa-free for 30 days for citizens of around 90 countries — all EU member states including Italy, San Marino, and Vatican City, the UK, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Israel, and around 60 others — for tourism, business, or family visits, with no advance application (entry stamp on arrival, passport valid at least 3 months from entry, one blank page). The e-visa covers around 60 additional nationalities: applied for online at e-visa.gov.uz, 30 days single entry for 20 USD, up to 12 months multiple entry for 50 USD, 7-day transit for 20 USD, usually processed within 2 working days.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration, document attestation and legalization, and emergency consular assistance for Uzbek nationals in Italy.
Trade & Export Support
The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between Uzbek and Italian companies.
