Overview
The Vietnamese Embassy in Vienna represents Vietnam in Austria and is also accredited to Slovenia. It guides residents of both countries through the appropriate entry process, provides consular services for Vietnamese citizens, and promotes trade, tourism, education and cultural exchange.
Visa Services
Vietnam offers visa-free entry to eligible nationalities and a widely available electronic visa for many other visitors. Austria- and Slovenia-based travellers should check their passport against the current eligibility and permitted duration, then use the official electronic route where required. Embassy handling remains relevant for categories outside the e-visa system, including certain work, study, family and long-stay cases that need Vietnamese sponsorship or prior immigration approval.
Consular Services
The embassy supports Vietnamese citizens with passports and travel documents, civil-status registration, certifications, powers of attorney and emergency assistance in Austria and Slovenia. Applicants should confirm personal-attendance, original-document and translation requirements.
Trade & Export Support
Vietnam and Austria exchange electronics, machinery, garments, food products, medical technology and professional services, while tourism and higher education deepen personal links. The embassy supports delegations and directs companies from Austria and Slovenia to the relevant Vietnamese trade or investment body.
Service Area
Austria and Slovenia.
Appointment Information
