Visa Services
Yemen requires a visa for citizens of nearly every country, applied for in advance at a Yemeni embassy or consulate. Required documents typically include a passport valid at least 6 months from entry with at least 1 blank page, a passport photo, an application form, an invitation letter from a Yemeni host or registered operator, and a medical certificate from an authorised body confirming the absence of infectious diseases (including an HIV/AIDS test). Fees vary by nationality. Many Yemeni embassies do not currently issue routine tourist visas — the situation should be confirmed directly with this embassy. Travel permits are required for movement outside Sana'a, usually obtained through a registered local operator.
