Visa Requirements for New Zealand
New Zealand waives visas for visitors from more than sixty countries — the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, Canada, Australia and Japan among them — but visa-waiver travellers arriving by air must hold an NZeTA, the electronic travel authority, before departure, paid together with the international visitor levy; it is valid two years for visits of up to 90 days each. Australian citizens and permanent residents enter without it, and nationalities outside the waiver — South Africa, India and China among them — apply for a visitor visa through a New Zealand mission.
