Saudi Arabian Embassy in Paris

Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Paris, France

Overview

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Paris is the Kingdom's sole diplomatic mission in France, covering the entire country with no separate consulate general to route to. Beyond the routine work of any embassy — visas, consular support, trade promotion — it sits at the centre of one of Saudi Arabia's most visible cultural partnerships with a Western country: the French-backed development of AlUla.

Visa Services

Most French residents travelling to Saudi Arabia for tourism, business, family visits, or Umrah can apply online for the tourism e-visa — eligible nationalities are typically approved within minutes to hours, and the same route (plus a visa on arrival) is also open to holders of a valid Schengen, UK, or US visa and to permanent residents of the US, EU, or UK. Umrah can be performed year-round on the tourism e-visa, with the Umrah permit applied for online; Hajj is not covered by the e-visa and needs a separate permit, available only in the Hajj season. Purposes and durations the e-visa doesn't cover are handled through the embassy's consular section.

Consular Services

The embassy provides passport and travel document services, civil registration (birth, marriage, death), power-of-attorney and document attestation, and emergency assistance for Saudi nationals across France.

Trade & Export Support

France and Saudi Arabia maintain substantial trade and investment ties across energy, aerospace, defence, and luxury goods, alongside a landmark heritage partnership: the Agence française pour le développement d'AlUla (AFALULA), created under a 2018 intergovernmental agreement, supports the excavation, restoration, and site development of Hegra and the wider AlUla region — one of the most visible French footprints in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 tourism drive. The embassy's economic section supports bilateral trade promotion and business matchmaking between French and Saudi companies.

Appointment Information

Consular appointments are booked through the embassy's official channels; visa applications for most nationalities are handled via the Saudi eVisa portal rather than in-person embassy visits. Applicants should confirm current procedures on the embassy's official website before travel.

Special Notes

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's National Day is September 23. The embassy in Paris covers all of France, with no separate Saudi consulate general elsewhere in the country.
