Overview
The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Vienna is Serbia's diplomatic mission in Austria. It supports the large Serbian community resident in Austria, processes visa applications for Austrian and other residents travelling to Serbia, and promotes bilateral relations. Serbia also maintains a Consulate-General in Salzburg providing an additional consular presence in western Austria.
Visa Services
Austrian citizens do not need a visa for short tourist or business visits to Serbia. Third-country nationals resident in Austria who require a Serbian visa should apply through the embassy with a valid passport, completed application form, passport photograph, proof of accommodation and proof of sufficient funds; requirements vary by nationality and purpose of travel.
Consular Services
The embassy provides passport applications and renewals, civil-registration services, notarial support and emergency assistance for Serbian nationals resident in Austria — one of the largest Serbian communities in Western Europe, built up through decades of labour migration. Applicants should check with the embassy or the Salzburg Consulate-General for which office covers their specific matter.
Trade & Export Support
Serbia and Austria maintain an active trade and investment relationship, with Austrian companies present across Serbia's banking, retail and manufacturing sectors, and Serbian exports to Austria including agricultural products and machinery components. The embassy supports trade delegations and business introductions between the two countries.
