Visa Services
Italian residents applying to visit Saudi Arabia for tourism, business, family visits, or Hajj/Umrah should note that most eligible nationalities can now obtain an eVisa online rather than applying in person at the embassy — this includes holders of a valid Schengen visa or residence, since Italy is itself a Schengen state, and extends more broadly to holders of a valid UK or US visa and to permanent residents of the US, EU or UK, with a visa on arrival available to the same travellers. Umrah can be performed year-round on the tourism e-visa, with the Umrah permit applied for online; Hajj needs a separate permit and only takes place in the Hajj season. Purpose-specific or long-term visas that require embassy processing are handled through the consular section, with requirements typically including a valid passport, passport photo, and purpose-specific supporting documents.
